Repeater: the 2017 Drawing Subscription

As a nod to the classic Fugazi album of the same name we’re taking inspiration and liberties with the concept of repetition, which has always been something of a constant for the studio. To that end, we have developed this series by first repeating a step from the previous year’s series Errata, where we not only had specific letterhead printed which served as the physical paper/support/document for the works, but we were also repurposing a previous work into a new manifestation which the subscription chronicles and authenticates. While we will not be using letterhead this year, we will be using specifically customized materials that have been fabricated to our exacting specifications. Further reference to the act of repetition within the series follows in the execution of the series. In homage to the Punk/Post-punk ethos it is set up as a straightforward series of interactions involving material and application to formulate the work. Surface + Material, Repeat. We think it’s going to be a lot of fun!

Due to the consistently increasing cost of postage over these past 7 years we are finally – and for the first time since beginning the drawing subscription project – going to raise the price of the subscriptions to $430 for the full year, including s/h (domestic only, inquire about international). Payments can be made online w/ credit cards via paypal and we also accept cash, checks, or venmo (email the studio for details). As we have been lucky enough to have had several loyal subscribers continue from one year to the next – and in the interest of maintaining consistency with the theme of repetition – ANY subscriber from ANY previous year will be granted a discounted price at the previous cost of $375 (including domestic s/h) for this year only. Just email the studio and we’ll invoice you directly. We appreciate and thank you for your loyalty and dedication to this work and this project!

As always, interested parties will have from November 1st until December 31st to purchase a subscription. On January 1st 2017, the series will be closed to any new subscribers and the edition number will be set based on the final number of subscribers.
