Congrats to Aaron Mette a great artist I am looking forward to exhibiting alongside next year in Black Metal in the White Cube curated by Amelia Ishmael.

Black Friday

Gearing up for the Black Friday holiday celebration in the studio.  In addition to a few other works, I’m displaying the 11 revealed pieces from this current year’s Drawing Subscription.  Consider it a little something to get the juices flowing in anticipation of 2012’s series!

Black Metal Theory Symposium III

I’ve been really excited and grateful to have work from the Hexe series requested to adorn the third Black Metal Theory Symposium and am also pleased to be heading over to Dublin to  deliver a presentation wherein I will be discussing the works, where they come from and the nihilistic undertones of not only relating to these objects, but relating to anyone/thing outside of our localized consciousness and how that feeds into and fights against the power and concept of belief.

There is a whole day’s worth of interesting and challenging presentations that will be streamed live thanks to Radical Matters, a specialty producer of beautiful  limited edition works for artists/musicians operating out of Italy.  It all goes down Sunday, November 20th at 2pm in Dublin (that’s 9am for those of you in the US on Eastern Standard, AKA: New York O’Clock).

Year 2

Today the Black Laboratory of Vincent Como is very excited to unleash the second 1 x 12 Drawing Subscription upon the world.

You know the deal: One new drawing from a unique editioned series delivered each month for the 12 months of 2012.  This project is a continuing part of my studio process begun in 2011 and I am committed to seeing it through for at least five years, with a different series being generated for each year.  This year we will be exploring the theme: Surface Disruption.  Subscribers will want to sign up before December 31st, 2011 to get the full experience!
